Here’s a great tip on how to train smart.
We are almost always better off integrating several factors of fitness together in one single exercise, unless we are specifically trying to isolate a certain muscle group.
Some examples:
- Chin ups (underhanded) work your biceps, grip strength, abdominals, and lats.
- Dumbell curls only work your biceps, and to a lesser extent grip strength.
also…
- Leg Extensions only work your quadriceps (thigh muscles).
- One leg squats work your flexibility, balance, and feet, ankle, calf, knee, thigh, and hip muscles all at the same time!
Always choose more integrated exercises whenever possible.
Kill two or more birds with one stone!
