Here’s a great tip on how to train smart.

We are almost always better off integrating several factors of fitness together in one single exercise, unless we are specifically trying to isolate a certain muscle group.

Some examples:

  • Chin ups (underhanded) work your biceps, grip strength, abdominals, and lats.
  • Dumbell curls only work your biceps, and to a lesser extent grip strength.

also…

  • Leg Extensions only work your quadriceps (thigh muscles).
  • One leg squats work your flexibility, balance, and feet, ankle, calf, knee, thigh, and hip muscles all at the same time!

Always choose more integrated exercises whenever possible.
