Finally! I finished my new fitness book, “The 4 Factors of Fitness and the Last Workout You’ll Ever Need” and did my first book signing and lecture at the Capital City Club Brookhaven last Monday. I planned to speak 30 minutes but it was such a great audience that the event lasted over an hour and could have gone 2 hours easily. The book is long, 555 pages, but it can be read slowly as a series of integrated essays. The bottom line is that it’s comprehensive and the program in it could last someone a lifetime. The practical part, the workout itself, has an easy-to-follow format, and can be done with simple equipment. The book’s focus is both performance and preventitive medicine- “Healthspan” versus lifespan and about improving all aspects of fitness at any age! It covers components, techniques, philosophy and motivation. I have many clients over 80, and using these principles you can be in better shape as you age instead of declining over 40.
